Actors and actresses are going back to Phoenix for auditions for roles in a new film.
The Phoenix Film Society announced on Friday that it has invited the auditions of the lead role for the upcoming film “Giantess” in a production of the movie “I, Frankenstein” in which women are given roles in the film.
The roles include one role for a character called “the Queen” and another role for an older woman called “The Queen’s Hand.”
The role of “the queen” was originally planned to be played by a female actor, but the Phoenix Film Societies casting director told Deadline that they decided to go with a female lead in part because it would allow for a more realistic portrayal of women in the role.
The casting director explained that this is a part of the Phoenix film community that wants to show that the Phoenix community can do the same.
The film will be directed by John Carpenter, who will be writing the script.
The role is not being cast by the Phoenix Art Museum, the Film Society, the Phoenix County Museum of Art or the Phoenix Opera House.
The project is set for release in theaters in November.
